Dreams & Illusions

Driving on a highway, enjoying the sunset…, and listening to some smooth jazz.


The melting pot of jazz, rock, brazilian music and other styles called fusion has always been in my head through all those years and it was just a question of time until i would come up and do a so called „fusion album“.

For this project i wrote a 3 tunes that fit into this genre, from the airy light bossa nova „Fairy Dance“, to the soundscapes of „Little Did I Know“ to the complex albumsong„ Dreams & Illusions“.

Furthermore i arranged and reharmonized the famous Aladdin`s Theme „ A whole new world“ by Alan Menken from the Walt Disney movie „ Aladdin“ as well as added a little solo part to Dave Grusin`s „ Just a girl“ from his filmscore to Coen Brothers movie „Mulholland Falls“.

For some special sound colors beside the regular clarinet sound i used an octaver as well as a distortion effect
