Mozart Piano Sonatas, Vol. 4

Mozart´s sonatas are a mainstay in the viennese classical repertoire for piano and have enjoyed constant popularity since first published, among pianists as well as concert audiences. They span Mozart´s entire career as an adult composer showing his supreme mastery of form and compositional techniques, challenging the performer with their simplicity at a first glance, which is deceptive indeed. They have aptly been called “too easy for children, and too difficult for artists” by the great Artur Schnabel.
